Madison County Circuit Clerk’s Office
The office of the Circuit Clerk is closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
By Order of the Presiding Judge, all dockets, hearings and proceedings are suspended except for the following:
Proceedings necessary to protect the constitutional rights of criminal defendants..
Proceedings related to relief from abuse, including but not limited to orders of protection.
Proceedings related to emergency child custody orders.
Proceedings related to dependency, delinquency and matters related to child welfare and protection.
Proceedings related to emergency mental health orders.
Proceedings related to emergency protection of elderly or vulnerable persons.
Proceedings related to petitions for temporary injunctive relief.
If you need an EMERGENCY petition, you may call (256) 532-3390 or (256) 532-3575.
All dockets will be rescheduled at a later date and notices will be provided by U.S. mail and/or Alacourt notification for attorneys. Parties should contact their attorney with any questions.
